Born in 1982 in the black forest, my first contact with film was a one year internship at an advertising film company in Hamburg. There, I gained hands-on experience on the sets of various film productions and deepened my knowledge of post-production before completing my studies in the Film Editing department at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.

Since 2011, I have been working as a freelance video and film editor throughout Germany and have contributed to numerous productions for film, television and web.

My focus lies in the dramatic editing of video, audio and graphics, and thanks to my many years of experience, I am accustomed to working with the material in a structured, goal-oriented, and independent manner. Editing is more than just stringing images together; it is about creating the best possible result from the material, both in terms of content and emotion—always with the target audience in mind. A high level of communication is very important to me, both before and during the editing process, because filmmaking is always a team effort. I possess in-depth knowledge of dramaturgy and technical expertise in all areas of post-production, particularly in graphics and sound editing, music selection, and color grading. Thanks to my many years of experience, I am well-versed in the use of a wide variety of AI tools and know how to apply them effectively.
